Medical Complications Study Recent studies have documented what we at Howie & Sweeney L.L.P. have known for years: A frightening number of injuries and deaths occur in the U.S. each year due to mismanaged and negligent medical care. The studies also point to the "culture of secrecy" in medicine, which makes it difficult for patients to learn the true cause of many of the so-called "complications" they experience.
